Haiti Earthquake Relief

We talked about the horrible earthquake in Haiti and I read some articles from today's Toronto Star to the class. The children were very concerned about what has happened and interested in raising money for relief effort. Grace suggested that we do some fund raising outside the book fair, which we all thought was a great idea. I've got my thinking cap on and I hope to have a crafty project for our class to take on in order for us to be able to sell something meaningful.

Once again, I'd just like to thank the boys and girls of our class for demonstrating compassion and initiative. These traits come from home. I just thought you'd feel warm knowing that the positive parenting you work hard at is definitely reflected in our class.
