Back in the early half of the twentieth century, there was an art movement that became known as Surrealism. Surrealists were influenced by dreams . Typically they put unlike images together and had fun challenging the public by playing with the idea of "what is real." See Rene Magritte's painting above. The Surrealists played a parlour game called Exquisite Corpse. The first person would write a line, fold the paper so the next person couldn't see what they wrote and the next person would write another line, fold the paper and give it to the next person. Eventually, they would have a strange and funny story. Sometimes they'd create picture versions. I thought the bloggers could do an updated version of this.
Bloggers, here is you blogging assignment for the week: The first person on the link list of blogs on the Clairlea Blogger's Blog http://clairleabloggers.blogspot.com (are you still with me?) will begin a story. They will write it on their blog. They will then copy and past the last sentence of the story into the comments section of the next person on the link list. That person will continue the story for as long as they want to and then copy and paste the last sentence into the comments of the next person on the link list, and so forth.
I'll walk you through this at school tomorrow.
The trick will be not reading each other's blogs until the story is completed. I'll then ask our Blogmaster to copy and paste the whole thing together on the Clairlea Blogger Blog.
