We're finally back for a good old fashioned five day week. More time, more work, more fun.
In Language, we'll continue working on our animal reports. I hope that most students will be able to wrap up their planning this week so that we may begin drafting the actual reports. We'll also continue working with words (homophones), and continue discussing fiction and non-fiction in guided reading.
In Math, we're wrapping up measurement with some fun activities connected to mass and capacity. We'll consolidate our understanding of area and perimeter towards the end of the week.
In Science, we've been revisiting water, animals and characteristics of living and non-living things by discussing animals that live in or near salt water and fresh water. More hands-on activities are planned as well as a writing activity.
In Social Studies, we will continue looking at physical features of landscapes.
