Hello again!
The blog is back! If you scroll down, you'll find some photos of your kids at Forest Valley and also building their fantastic helicopters in our carpentry workshop just prior to March Break.
We will have a busy week this week. Here's some of the things we'll be working on:
Language: In Reading, we are working on making connections and we will be starting our unit on inferring (formulating smart ideas about what we are reading based on all that we know).
In Writing, we will continue working on non-fiction writing based on the stories of St. Valentine and St. Patrick. Sometimes the holidays fly past before we complete our work.
In Math, we will be wrapping up 2-D and 3-D geometry and will begin using 10-frames to determine the ten that is nearest to a given two-digit number e.g. "how do you know that 47 is closer to 50 than 40?"
In Science, we will learn about the different ways in which solids dissolve in liquids.
