I hope everyone had a great March Break filled with good times and with as much relaxation as humanly possible.
Below, you'll find pictures of our field trip to the Kortright Conservation Centre, our capacity and mass centres I set up in the hallway and also a swell model one of our amazing grade 2 students. The model showed the class how road salt can end up in our rivers and streams. Bravo! She did a terrific job of explaining the process and it wasn't even homework.
This week, we'll attempt to have all mystery narratives completed in good copy. We will continue to learn about inferring as part of reading comprehension, and we will continue working on verbs and adverbs in grammar.
In Math, we will be reviewing 2-D geometry and we will dive into 3-D geometry, learning how to describe their attributes and building shapes out of paper.
In Social Studies, the Grade 2s will learn about the celebration of St. Patrick's Day. The Grade 3s will begin their unit on early settlers in Upper Canada (pioneers).
